The project consists of a 10x10x10 meters cube-shaped element located next to a newly made canal in Venice.
The house refers to the volumes of ancient Venetian palaces (whose structure is based on square shapes) and, at the same time, the CorTen steel sheets cover the roof-top reminding the overhang of the Venetian roofs.
The building presents 3 floors, the ground one hosts a covered dock, restrooms, a workspace, and a living-dining space. On the second floor there are three bedrooms with private bathroom and cloakroom, while on the third floor is located a private living-area with a small terrace which overlooks the canal.
The outside is entirely gardened, and a swimming pool lays in front of the house recalling the presence of the river on the other side of the bricks enclosure.
Because of the location of the project, a double entrance to the site is needed, one from the street and another one from the river that faces south.
