The apartment, located on the edge of the historic town of Acquaviva delle Fonti, is organised on a single floor and defined by an isotropic layout.
The project aims to keep night and day spaces clearly separated, shaping two distinct blocks laying on the same axis, orthogonal to the openings. This particular layout of the spaces allows the living room to have a double exposure ensuring a better daylight further than natural ventilation.
The spaces are defined through a number of subtraction and addition of “functional boxes”.
Three volumes define through geometric subtractions the entrance/wardrobe system, the kitchen/closet system and the bookcase. These three elements are also characterized by the further joinery boxlike details that help defining spaces throught different shapes and colours.
