CSO Architects Corporate Headquarters

8831, Keystone Crossing, Indianapolis, IN, United States

Type
YEAR
2011
The CSO Architects Corporate Headquarters makes use of an existing structure on the north side of Indianapolis, Indiana. Previously
occupied by Bally Total Fitness, this building sits in the middle of
Keystone at the Crossing, a large mixed-used development that forms the
core of the far north side neighborhood and is one of Indianapolis’
premier business addresses. The building itself was constructed in 1986
and had been utilized as a Bally Total Fitness until 2009 when it was
vacated and left idle for nearly a year. CSO Architects saw the
economical and environmental advantages in reusing this existing
facility as well as the benefits in relocating to a denser and more
connected community. Minimal structural alterations were made – the
existing slab on grade, floor deck, running track/mezzanine, roof deck,
and exterior walls were reused as they were.
