This members’ bar and lounge targets executives who want to spend stylish nights in the city. The goal was to create an extraordinary experience that also feels comfortable.
Inside the reception hall, warm lighting illuminates customers, who find themselves reflected in the black-frame-mirrored wall surface. Bookshelves occupying the walls create the atmosphere of a luxurious study, in which clients are able to relax.
To create a contrast with the artifacts (books), a natural rock facade was set as a relief to create a dramatic backdrop. A luxurious champagne gold color was added to strike a balance. A custom-made wine cellar (you can see inside from both sides) serves to divide the spacious room. A see-through boundary was made to connect the modern space composition and authentic space composition.
The VIP room tables are made out of randomly-cut-wood inside of a glass case. The wood gives a sense of stability while the glass makes a fragile impression. When inverting these two designs, the different aspects of the materials emerge. Thus, a bilateral character is given to the lounge space and materials, and a sophisticated, high-grade bar and lounge was created.
