Crescent Mall
The Crescent mall is the first international standard shopping mall in Vietnam. The 115.000sqm building is part of the greater Crescent Lifestyle development including the Crescent Promenade along name-giving lake. The mall has a 6 story atrium with 3 escalator cores which serve 200+ retail units. 3 basements provide ample parking for both cars and motorbikes. The facade design theme of swinging reeds picks up on the texture of local building culture and is reflected in the interior cladding. the woven pattern of the atrium ceiling with cove lighting is the dominant feature of the interior which otherwise is kept in a classical modern white. The escalators are arranged in playful angles to enhance customer movement and visibility. Korn Architects landmark project was from the opening day a big retail success.
