It’s an apartment interior renovation project. The spatial approach tries to minimize the distribution space, to give “breath” to the living area reducing the bedrooms but maintaining two independent bathrooms. The layout found was typical of most of the 70’s apartment buildings, with some peculiar distributions that made almost impossible to have a regular cooking area. We try to give more order creating an open and regular living area that holds all the functions: living, dining and cooking area. The sleeping area is on the opposite side of the plan, far from the street noises and facing on the internal courtyard. Part of the commitment was also spent to design and realize custom furniture trying to maximize the storage volumes. The interior project also develops some custom furniture made for the kids room, which lays on just one side, trying to create village like shapes, on the other wall an artist/cartoonist (Daria Gatti) was called to develop a kid’s painting that could converse with the designed custom furniture.
