The presented plans was made for a national competition in Hungary.
About the project:
The new building of the prosecutions with there shaping and materials is low-keyed, that’s why it highlightes the court buildings architectural values and plastic. The plan has received third prize by the jury.
We put the spaces of the court to the historical building and in a smaller extension and we put the spaces of the prosecutions in to a new building. We planned a new, glass aisleway between the old and the new building.
The feature and the accentuation of the architectural values of the courts historical building was an important aspect. We planned the new building of the prosecutions with glass facades, which makes the interior spaces light, the reeds are shaded and protect. The building was designed with a flat roof. The concrete walls get stone covering, which is natural, elegant and which makes contact between the footing of the existing building of the court and the planned new building of the prosecutions.
The main functions we placed in the most representative spaces, on the ground floor and on the first floor.
We used the spaces of the historical buildings attic for accessory functions.
The main entrance of the court was stayed at their original place, so we can approach the building from the street directly. The main entrance of the prosecutions is openned from the neighboring square.
