The intervention is located on a property of just over thirty hectares, it is a pastureland with magnificent holm oaks and an undergrowth of broom, rockroses, and hawthorns. Something very similar to paradise. In the central area of the property, there were various buildings, a main house, a caretaker's house, stables, and a dovecote, totaling six hundred square meters of construction where the intervention materializes.
An area of the property of approximately one hectare was delimited, framed by paths and where the buildings were located. In this area, the intervention in the territory is limited to taming nature a bit, with light pruning, clearing, and planting of native shrubs, as well as recovering the damage caused by the construction, loosening the soil, and recovering the vegetation cover.
The house is isolated on a large plot, on the top of a small mound, with an approximate built area of three hundred square meters. It is accessed through a sandy path surrounded by holm oaks and large granite rocks that emerge from the ground. Among the buildings of the main house, the guest house, and the stables, a courtyard is formed with an olive tree in the center and a huge holm oak in the background. This space distributes access to the buildings.
The intervention recovers the 70 cm granite stone walls and pierces them with large openings to modulate the light. The space is treated as a solid element, as if it were a sculpture. These openings are configured as places to be, to enjoy simultaneously the protection and comfort of the house and the impressive nature that surrounds it.
