COTY Research and Development, Inc. – Building 500 Headquarters

Morris Plains, NJ, United States

STATUS
Built
YEAR
2013
SIZE
25,000 sqft - 100,000 sqft
Coty, Inc. in Morris Plains, NJ, was seeking to consolidate its research and development operations that were located in two buildings – 100 and 400 – into the adjacent Building 500. RSC Architects (RSC) provided design-build services to renovate the 96,800 SF warehouse and office building. This area required significant reconfiguration as well as an 18,800 SF expansion to the existing mezzanine area.

Upon entering the facility, visitors now experience a circular two-story lobby with a reception desk and curved staircase. The new headquarters also includes office space, conference and multi-purpose rooms, dry and wet laboratories, a pilot plant, secure storage areas, and warehouse space. Integration of technology, such as video and Internet technologies, was also an important consideration for the international company. The project was completed as projected in 2013.
