The complex is located in the village of Barvikha, Moscow region and is a continuation of the cottage village «Barvikha-2».
At the competitive stage, several planning schemes were proposed — variants of «unity with nature» — «boulevard», «square» and «park». An average scheme was chosen, assuming a complete separation of transport and pedestrians. A ring road with branches to each group of houses runs along the perimeter of the site. Then the pedestrian zone begins — the central boulevard leading to the community center of the village.
The residential part consists of 110 semi-detached cottages — «townhouses» — with an area of 175 and 200 sq.m. with land plots from 3 to 7 acres.
The houses have two floors, an attic, a technical underground and a garage for 1-2 cars. The structural frame of the houses, having only one internal support, creates great freedom in choosing the layout.
The community center is a kind of gateway to the new village, closing the central pedestrian boulevard. Its main element was a portal made of wood-glued structures, which also covers the summer terrace of the cafe. The center includes a fitness room, a shop, a cafe and administrative offices.
