Cotswold Water Park

Gloucestershire, England, United Kingdom

YEAR
2003
A visitor centre for the Cotswold Water Park Society together with a retail building let to Cotswold Outdoor. This pair of timber clad buildings enjoy a prominent position at the entrance to the Water Park, which comprises over 100 lakes with a wide variety of recreational uses varying from fishing to watersports. The single-storey visitor centre has a green oak frame and comprises a cafe, exhibition area, and shop. Panoramic views of the adjacent lake provides a key focus for visitors to the park. A key point to the Society's mission is education, and the building features information about the construction and low carbon systems, including a digital readout providing information on energy and CO2 usage.
