This corporate headquarters are located on the top floor of one of Frank Gehry’s earliest buildings (originally designed for the Rouse Corporation) for the master-planned community of Columbia, MD. Keeping with the developer’s goal to integrate work and nature, and complementing Gehry’s vision of the building as “an elegant warehouse,” the design for this 32,000-square-foot open-plan office features vistas over landscaped terraces and an invigorating skylight framing an informal living room and glass conference rooms. This contemporary office optimizes productivity, collaboration and wellness. Social spaces are designed to encourage interaction and dialogue, amidst a simple palette of natural and elegant materials.
