Due to Stantec's commitment to environmentally responsible design, Deutsche Bank, AG has been awarded a LEED CI Silver Rating.
Stantec was originally contracted to design and build a new, 30,000-square-foot office space for a financial institution. Working with the client's design standards during the schematic phase and through numerous test-fit plans, the team realized that more space would be needed for the business line. Fortunately, another business line of the client occupied another floor in the building, and the project quickly expanded to 60,000 square feet. The two business lines had very different working cultures, and Stantec assisted in bringing those two cultures together. Due to the fast-track nature of the project, two teams were devised: one to work on the fit-out of the original project and one to work on the additional floor. This required close collaboration with all consultants and the construction manager. The office consisted of open communal space and private offices. According to corporate standards, Stantec's design also included an all faith room, a mothers' room, and think tanks. Technology is an integral part of the bank's day-to-day business and a 1,000-square-foot technology room was designed by working closely with Deutsche Bank personnel as well as multiple consultants. Once both floors were under construction, Stantec was contracted to review the project and asses its eligibility for LEED certification.
