COOP Ale Works, Oklahoma’s largest microbrewery, is renovating the Oklahoma National Guard Armory and Veterans Memorial Building to be a permanent home for their brewing operations. This project will incorporate the design of a functioning brewery with tap room, office spaces, a new restaurant, event spaces, boutique hotel & villas, and pool club. The Public Works Administration building is the former home of the famed 45th Infantry Division and will be protected by applying for registration with the National Historic Register. This registration will ensure the preservation of one of Oklahoma’s significant landmarks and its accompanying history.
The scope of work for this project includes the design, documentation, and design oversight of renovation to the three-level Oklahoma National Guard Armory at approximately 86,845 SF, the Veterans Memorial Building at approximately 16,630 SF, and a site renovation at approximately 338,955 SF, or approximately 9 acres. The Veterans Memorial Building will house the hotel villas which will offer hotel guests apartment-like experiences with fitness center for their stay with the hotel, a pool, lounge pool, and spa, an outdoor bar & green space, and event space for private events.
