St. Mark’s School of Southborough, MA retained the services of S3 Design to renovate the lower level of the Elkins Gymnasium into a Student Athlete Training Facility so that the school can keep up with its growing athletics program and offer student athletes the tools to increase performance. The renovation opened up the first floor of Elkins for the athletic center which includes a turf training area, fitness equipment and a dedicated rowing room. The equipment issue room was relocated and outfitted with movable storage racks for space efficiency and organization. The existing outdoor archways flanking the lobby were enclosed with windows to match the existing glazing system in Elkins main lobby and now become the indoor circulation that reactivates the historic main lobby.
