This unique home is nestled in the heart of Chicago. This Chicago property was originally a commercial space, but was converted to a luxury residence with the use of both traditional and contemporary Sapele windows and doors. The storefront facade was updated with new traditional hung windows that preserved the downtown history, while the new addition consisted of contemporary direct set windows, awning windows and lift and slide doors. Screen doors were also provided for sliding and swing door units. The pivot entryway door has an astounding 2 foot jamb depth with a large transom above. Sidelight with privacy glass and stainless steel canopy with concealed lighting make a true statement in this unique historical community. Grabill also built Sapele trim for the modern hot tub and fire pit.
