The Cottage in Sharcott is a beautiful 200 year old thatched cottage that its in the rolling Wilshire countryside. The owners commissioned Studio – B.a.d to carry out a feasibility study and planning application, to look at a new addition that would accommodate a new day space for the family to enjoy the amazing location. The proposal looks to introduce a simple brick retaining wall against the existing field. This then enables a simple multi use space, with a pre patented copper barrel vaulted roof and a fully glazed façade. A new courtyard space has been introduced for the family to enjoy time within the amazing Wiltsure countryside.
