This single-family house is located on a sloping terrain and is partially embedded in it. It has two floors, a varied floor plan and is oriented in the northeast-southwest direction. Its volume is varied as well and so it hides the actual size of the building and presents itself as a group of smaller houses with gable roofs. The location of the building on a building plot makes the most of the sunlight, the shape of the terrain and other natural features.
A driveway and an access to the building is planned from the existing road on the northeast side, where there is an entrance and a courtyard with three parking spots. One enters the upper floor, where there is an entrance hall, a wardrobe, a large storage and technical room, a home office, a guest room and a bathroom. From the office and the guest room it is possible to access a larger terrace, which offers beautiful views of the sea. From the upper floor one descends down the staircase next to the lyrical northern dug atrium to the ground floor. On the ground level, there are living spaces with kitchen and dinning room, a bedroom, a children’s room, a fitness room with access to the inner atrium and a bathroom with a sauna. From the dining room one can access the southern atrium and from the living room with the dining room there is an access to a partially covered terrace with an outdoor kitchen. The building opens towards the sea in the southern and southwestern direction, and closes towards the road and the neighboring building on the northwestern side. The atriums and floor plan design provide plenty of privacy and a comfortable climate for residents throughout the whole year.
A facade is made of brick and plaster. A structure of a cliff in Debeli rtič Landscape Park echoes in the brick facade. The large-format brick continues on the three gabled roofs.
The surroundings of the house are planted with native Mediterranean plants.
