Using always the spirit of Brazilian Modernism in its projects, Eduardo V. Flores designed this museum for a cultural contest of Buenos Aires where the challenge was to create a contemporary museum concept that would meet the characteristics required by the edict. With large gaps in balance, Eduardo employed for the first time the use of rods in their projects due to proximity to the Puente de La Mujer. “I wanted to talk to the two buildings, and that there was an alternative to proper harmony between the two elements was the use of braces.”With a simple setup but bold, the museum resembles a large bird inn on the edge of Puerto Madero. Their bold shapes are also not coincidental. The project has a design very similar to a boat. With a bold structure and a way never seen before, this project becomes a landmark for contemporary architecture.
