Shipping containers offer an interesting building block for homes in that they are inexpensive, modular, structural and recycled. Not to mention there are thousands of old shipping containers in almost every port city that can't be used for shipping any longer for one reason or another. This makes for a readily available stock to be used.The form is U shaped with a central courtyard space that is partially covered and can be used as an outdoor dining/entertaining space. Though compact, there is ample living space on the interior. Bedrooms are kept to a minimum dimension, meant only for sleeping and the storage of clothing.
