CAFElab was called to design the new offices of the Consulate of the Republic of the Philippines Embassy in Rome.The Consular Offices was attached to the historical building, probably a Casino di Caccia of '900 with a steel structure.
The spaces are no longer sufficient to accommodate the flow of visitors who daily crowd.
The aim of the intervention is to achieve a general improvement of the
conditions of waiting for guests and work for officials through more
space and light, more comfort and a more efficient control of flows.
Starting point of the project was the recovery of historical identity;
the architectural partitions were released and isolated using a color
code to distinguish the pre-existence to modern intervention.
The particular shape of the front desk is designed to provide as much space as possible for each operator.
