Moody Nolan served as the design architect to TranSystems for the major $139 million CRAA
ConRAC facility. Designed specifically for the rental car agencies, the main objective was to
create a facility that is easily accessible for end-users. To achieve this, skywalks have been
incorporated into the design to make the garage pedestrian accessible to the terminal and
eliminate the need for shuttle transportation. This logistical shift reduces operating costs.
The design accommodates remote check-in and baggage conveying systems to support future
terminal development efforts. Fuel tanks are strategically arranged on multiple levels. Mitigation
has been included as an additional service. LEED v4 has been incorporated into the design, with
an anticipated LEED Silver certification. The CRAA ConRAC is a major component in the growth
plan for the airport as well as the region.
