The Stand for the Consejería de Vivienda design, Junta de Andalucía, Spain, aimed to create an enclosed space for a regional Real State trade fair. Our shelter concept reminded visitors of the comfort of the public dwelling promoted by the Institution through public tenders during the previous years. The modular design also allowed movements between the pieces creating multiple paths through the space and bringing the transparency feeling the Institution wanted to show as a mental link with the public competition. In contrast, all the other Stands proposed an open-to-sky design for this type of exhibition as it's the regular rule. Our design's configuration made possible as well, different layouts in other later spaces where the installation was installed.
It was an enlightening experience to work on the particular shape of our pieces development with the carpentry supplier, who was used to working on rustic furniture items such as traditional table and chair sets.
