"Pop up garden made of construction cones.

Construction cones; when there is a construction site, they are the first in, and the last out. They have been there just like that when man-made environment want to expand their territory.

Using them as an icon of people?s desire of controlling our environment, we build a pop-up garden for 2014 international garden festival in Grand-Metis.

Placing up-side down and being put together, they make themselves a single mound. Now they are to be second nature which hold the first nature. In this popup garden, artificial material merge together with our own nature

As they look like a set of huge speaker, they work just like they look. We have made this to make sound in response to people?s way of touching them. For example, when you touch some cones in front, it makes sound of wind, while some sound like an ocean wave. And also you can hear the sound of wind charm from time to time.

For us we wanted this project not only to be a place or a space but also to be an object or a thing that people love to place their hands on. Things that people would touch and feel. For this reason this garden is not only a place but also an object. Like a pet, a live object that has been friend us for a long time. That?s why we call this bocksili, named after a puffy that we are having in Korea."
