Located north of Lima, we are developing a project for four houses that make up one complex. With outstanding views to the landscape, each residence is built creating different environments and each has its own scenery surrounding it that defines its limits. The organizing element of the common area is a body of water that generates a microenvironment and organizes the landscape.
Each house is characterized by a series of walls that reinforce the idea of camouflaging that house within the existing environment. On one part we worked with the density required by the program, and on the other we proposed materials to generate a duality, giving lightness to what is truly solid; the rock is articulated to generate transparency and to visually lighten up the character of the houses. The stone walls will add to the project the natural aging process of the materials and the growth of the landscape. We sought a layout of habitable spaces of regular forms that are organized to guard the privacy and the visuals between the interior and the landscape.
From inside the house we intend to turn the spatial areas into a dimension of the house that extends to the exteriors. In the interior of the houses we additionally generated singular relationships between the living spaces, different levels, double heights, private patios, and all these conditions give each house its own personality.
