Condominium 1st Ave
1st Ave Condominiums is a residential development
located near downtown Miami, this project is a collaboration with MIA office in
Miami. The design of the project started with the idea of creating a residential
condominium for young artist. Despite its plot size the project its design to
encapsulate four apartment units with a private swimming pool, parking spaces and
a large studio space on the ground floor. The project is treated as Mediterranean
patio surrounded by a game of shapes, openings and terraces that give a private
and exclusive atmosphere to the whole. The units are treated as loft studios
spaces, with the idea that every unit could start as an empty shell that could
be then later be modify according to the needs of every artist with the possibility
to transform every apartment from a single space to a three bedroom apartment.
The condominium industrial aspect is softened with the use grass paving floors and
ivy screens that are used both shades and street filters. The project is hoped
to become the developing seed for a new residential area.
