Without starting to think about the pre-conceived idea or image that we have when we think about a house, an office or any space without a specific functional need, we try to create a building system that fits the spatial diversity of each user or each activity could require, generating different kind of spaces.
The architecture responds to an absolute simplicity. The system must seek to be the least, the indispensable, the fewest pieces.
The rule determines only two types of modulated structural pieces. They lock, assemble, support and suspend. Ensuring stability and versatility in the assembly. Each module plays a specific role, making diverse and undefined applications.
The first segment is long and its works to stabilize the system in the floor. It could also be used as a beam; its shape at both ends allows it to quickly combine with the next body. The second rectangular piece meets another requirement; it can be used as horizontal limit either in the floor or in the roof. It also stabilizes the structure horizontally placed on the X and Y plane.
The two precast modules are made of concrete, using Hormi2 panel system, in order to lighten the structure, using a smaller amount of concrete.
The logic determines that every 1.2 meters, holes will form not just the vertical and horizontal axis of assembly, through tension and lock balance of forces, but they will also be pipeline installation.
The long beam has 5 holes. The small precast concrete panel could fit in any of them. This way, it may be positioned, as the user, the circumstances, or the structure requires.
In addition, basic wooden panels are used to close and define the space. Glass, without frames, can also be used, positioned to be absent, but to close the space, provoking a relation between the inside and the outside.
The result is honest; it’s easy to understand how it’s built and how it supports.
Furthermore contrasts are used, using one another, inside and outside at the same time unmarking barriers, evidencing the shadow projected through the wood by the light. Finally, its application could solve housing, offices, commercial spaces, educational, and communal institutions, but mostly emergent spaces through to the building velocity.
