Envisioned as a democratic spatial development for civic use. The requirement is to be inviting and perceived as open to the whole of the city, even from a distance, thus successfully enclosing space by securing it from inflow – outflow sound, external weather conditions and providing an overall sense of security to all users. The geometric approach is chosen to attract people from the surrounding areas and produce a uniting experience. The possibility to open its foyer to the surroundings allows a series of unexpected events on the hill ladder during summertime and enclosed ambience with open view of the river during winter.
The building’s location was the reason why I decided to participate in this competition. Its privileged view of the horizon, the city within and the possibility of merging classical and contemporary architectural ideas became the attractive motif of this opportunity. Henceworth, a beautiful city such as Vilnius deserves to have outstanding spatial outcomes from each period in time. Nowadays, its important to relieve people from traditional structures and relate to the contextual characteristics of a place by defining its foundational appeals in art, history, sociology and political views. All of which I have studied in measured amounts to be able to fulfill this important fact
