KONCEPT K is set as response to strongly defined brief demands for O.S. Sava Jovanovic in Sirogojno, school for children with Down’s syndrome and autistic behavior.
Base for setting the concept was research on Kandinsky’s work, his impression with circle as indefinitely defined element. Decomposing his compositions led to exploring symbolism of every element in particular. Yet, it’s connection with music made his work more than just visual and it’s symbolic set the entire range of influences in human comprehension of world and ambient. The fact that his paintings unforgivingly look like children’s drawings made this connection even stronger. So, the concept is new, improved made of existing elements in Kandinsky’s paintings: circle, square, triangle, dynamic colors, even schemes he made out of lines have found tridimensional purpose. These elements are set to provide moving dynamic pattern for organizing spaces for:
• Socialization;
• Learning;
• Relaxation;
• Playing area;
• Creativity.
Tridimensional shaping is result of all stated propositions for organizing spaces for children with autism, brought by Rachna Khare, National Institute of Design, India and Abir Mullick, Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, USA named Universally Beneficial Educational Space Design for Children with Autism; the Research Progression. It is based on psychological study that in first place puts oversized elements, visual connection between different areas, sound impression and cheerful dynamic ambient approachable for parents, all with purpose to make an impact that is strong enough to be noticed by children who don’t accept anything but the world they created for themselves.
