Housing rehabilitation in a protected 19th-century building. The program starts from the kitchen located at the center of the home, establishing itself as the heart of the house and the space generating social interactions. From here, the public area is distributed, overlooking a beautiful neighborhood square through huge windows that fold during the summer, allowing direct contact with the existing vegetation.
On the opposite side is the more private area of the house, revolving around a living room that functions as a family lounge and distributor of the more private rooms.
The master bedroom takes a strategic location on the main facade, with beautiful views, resulting in a haven of peace and brightness.
We could conclude by saying that the proposed renovation stems from the intention to improve the distribution of the property, originally very compartmentalized, enhancing the spatial quality of the common areas and bringing natural light into every interior space of the house.
Quote from the owner: "we were looking for a house that would revolve around the common spaces where we could encourage contact and family life."
