The project for a new kindergarten is based on compact elliptic two-story volume. Given the steep slope where the building is supposed to be, the biggest effort was spent in solving the problem of how to bring people from the road upstairs down to the kindergarten entrance, 5 meters below. The aim was to create a very simple building (simple like a nest) which would have caused as little interferences with the natural landscape as possibile: that's why we chose for an almost hermetic volume: inside it, an elliptic courtyard is devoted to the youngers, while the 3 to 5 year-old children spaces are at the lower floor and open up directly to the green spaces outside.
