The Friedrichshafen Competence Park is characterised by its location
at the edge of town. This first building (CPF 1/ 2004) is at the front of a
recently developed commercial area located in the immediate proximity of the
airport.
The building consists of two staggered structures facing each other
with a six-storey hall in the middle. The dynamics of the hall are generated by
the slightly swivelled galleries on each floor and the northwest wall which
inclines inwards. The lowest level can be used for staging events – and is
connected to the restaurant in the southeast wing. The office spaces can be
readily partitioned in accordance with customer wishes; the target group
consists of companies operating in the fields of technology and engineering as
well as R&D, education and training, and business services.
The second offece building (CPF 2/ 2011) was built several years
later because of the enormous feedback on the offices in CPF 1. CPF 3 is
