Compassion for Migrant Children (www.cmc-china.org) has opened 7 community centers
in migrant slums in China, Nepal, and now Bangladesh. Because the first slum we
started in was demolished along with our first community center - and we
realized this issue of instability was shared in migrant slums around the world - we began looking for
quality solutions which could be moved if the community needs to move. Our
first attempt in China is called Community Cubes (from shipping containers) and
it is the first of dozens of mobile community centers planned for Asia and beyond.
