In 2006/2007, we generated a new utilization and revitalization concept for Kaiserslautern’s Fackelpassage, a commercial building from the 1970’s housing shops with overlying office space. Positioned in the heart of the lively city center, the retail areas were originally accessed by a small unassuming forecourt from the pedestrian zone. A fully glazed annex building, boasting a green roof and a rounded corner to the traffic-free shopping street, serves as the new main access element, forming a new identity for the property on Fackelstraße.
