The sum of possibilities
Constructing a building for the client’s own use means
more experiments and more possibilities. The new office building in Bitziweg 2
in Diepoldsau, not far from the village centre is an unusual building structure
that in addition to the headquarters of Novaron also contains four apartments for
rent that meet the demands of discerning clients.
All of the outside walls of the new building are constructed using
mineral-insulated concrete with a rearventilated steel facade made of exposed
U-profiles. In the case of this facade construction – a relatively complex
development by Novaron themselves – the steel profiles are mounted on a
substructure at regular intervals. The shell encloses the entire building. This
novelty in facade construction creates a silhouette, lending the relatively
large building a soft appearance. The rust provides the building with a warm
tone.
The window construction is also very specific: The windows are flush with the
outer walls thus producing a niche on the interior, which can either be used as
a shelf or as seating.
On the interior, Novaron presents itself on two levels with an open office
concept that enables and encourages communication yet also provides
opportunities for retreat. In addition it was possible to create two extremely
spacious, light-flooded, three-and-a-half roomed apartments with very
comfortable bathrooms and a covered outside area as well as two penthouse
apartments (containing two-and-a-half rooms) with exclusive bathrooms and
terraces that provide a view far across the roofs of Diepoldsau.
