Le projet s’inscrit au croisement de l’avenue des Combattants et de l’avenue des croix du feu à Namur. Cet axe majeur est l’une des deux voiries reliant directement les différentes avenues du centre de la ville au quartier Nord séparés par les voies de trains. Point de jonction entre les différents quartiers, c’est un passage obligé d’entrée et de sortie de la ville de Namur.

Endroit stratégique et visuellement très fort, il marque une entrée de ville.

La parcelle surplombe la gare de train depuis son îlot situé sur un pont, proche de ligne de bus, à deux pas de la Sambre et du fameux parc Louise- Marie. Formé à la scission des voies de chemin de fer, au croisement avec les avenues, cette ile remarquable donne directement vu sur le centre ville de Namur.

Notre travail porte sur cette île, lieu atypique et isolé du reste du bâti, actuellement construit.
