CooverClark
performed programming, master planning, architectural design, interior design,
landscape architecture as a consultant to CH2M Hill for a new Army Aviation
Support Facility/Maintenance Hangar (AASF) at Buckley Air Force Base (AFB) for
the Colorado Army National Guard (COARNG).
This facility was
designed to house, equip, support and maintain a fleet of UH-60 and CH-47
military helicopters. CooverClark
programmed the AASF with users, toured and documented like facilities
nationwide with the client, end-users and stakeholders to maximize efficiency
from the pilot, maintenance, and training use points of view. Key to our ability to ensure client and end
user satisfaction on this project was the extensive interview and design
charrette processes we conducted to gain full stakeholder approval on an
expedited schedule.
Landscape was
designed for Fortitude without Fortress and included Anti-Terrorism / Force
Protection (ATFP) standards. CooverClark
sited xeriscape, plant species, dry creeks and designed integral hardscape for
patios, entries, and aircraft museum display areas.
