Colliers International is an industry leading global real estate company with an enterprising culture based on looking for unrealized potential, creating effective solutions to help their clients succeed and achieving outcomes that surpass client expectations. For the redesign of their Los Angeles regional office, Colliers found a like-minded partner in Wirt Design Group.
The client’s goals for the project were twofold: to create efficiencies that would allow them to consolidate from two floors to one and modernize the space to better reflect their core values, facilitate their enterprising workstyle and showcase “the new workplace” model for their employees and clients. The resulting space is progressive, efficient, engaging and up-to-date with the latest lighting, technology and amenities.
Upon entering, one is greeted by a bright, airy, comfortable reception area with expansive views of Los Angeles. Adjacent are the large boardroom, repositioned breakroom and an additional conference room with retractable walls. The entire front-of-house has been transformed into an inviting hospitality area that can accommodate all-hands meetings and events.
At the workspaces, the private office square footage was reduced and standardized but the addition of glass fronts allows natural light to enter the core of the space. Corner offices are now multi-purpose rooms for collaboration and shared offices. Workstation panels are lower to improve sight-lines outside and visually open the space. Light wood finishes were carried throughout to add a sense of warmth and contrast to an otherwise clean and modern space.
