The College of San Mateo Health and Wellness Center is a significant new gateway structure for the college. This is the first and most visible element of a bold new master plan for the classic modernist campus. As the new front door to the campus, a hybrid program of workforce training (cosmetology, dental assisting, dental hygiene and nursing) and wellness/fitness programs are combined here to be inviting to community users and students alike.

The design achieved LEED Gold certification and earned the Sustainable San Mateo County design award.
