COLLEGE AVENUE
The design for an original California ranch home for a family of four developed from a combination of improving the basic needs and including the updated ideals for contemporary activities. The existing public spaces of living room, kitchen, and family room were redesigned for a more comfortable and continuous movement through spaces and a clearly defined dining space was added to allow continuous flow from interior to the back yard and garden spaces. Each bedroom, bath and dressing area was completely remodeled, incorporating wood details and panels, with fixtures, fittings, lighting, granite and ceramic tiles. There is also a new home office which becomes the locus for family activities as the information age connects with the traditions of family life.
