Pidgin Perfect was asked by IRONBBRATZ - the city centre artists studios which Pidgin Perfect hold residence - to design and curate an installation and exhibition for a month long showcase of IRONBBRATZ at Trongate103, Glasgow's centre for arts and creativity. The exhibition explores the collective creative workplace of IRONBBRATZ and the diverse individual interior worlds of each tenant’s studio. The exhibition used several varying forms of media to illustrate the workings of IRONBBRATZ. Pidgin Perfect commissioned the professional filmmaker Antonia Bain to shoot a series of short interviews, giving each inhabitant the opportunity to describe their work. Pidgin Perfect also designed a ‘collective mesh’ which represented an abstracted plan of IRONBBRATZ Studios. This centre piece installation was made using 1 kilometre of 1mm thick aluminium wire woven together by hand in a collective effort by the IRONBBRATZ tenant's, the mesh was then filled with collected objects representative of each tenant. The ‘collective mesh’ was accompanied by a large infographic entitled ‘IRN CRU Census’ that Pidgin Perfect asked designer Brian Coyle to produce. It imagines IRONBBRATZ as a single person, a person that would be in debt to the amount of £313, 500 and have an inside leg measurement of 1936cm.
