An Office Layout Focused on Lobby and Social Spaces
Located in Skyland Istanbul, the COLIN’S Jeans headquarters was approached as an interior design project encompassing the lobby, corridors, meeting rooms, and social areas. The design sought to balance solutions that express the brand’s corporate identity with functional layouts that support employees’ daily needs. The main emphasis of the project was placed on the welcoming lobby and the expansive common area designed to foster social interaction.
The double-height lobby was envisioned as a warm reception space where industrial elements were combined with traditional references. This area highlighted the corporate identity of the brand while aiming to create a strong first impression. The transition from the high-ceilinged lobby to the lower corridors was articulated through a “time tunnel” enriched with corporate graphics. In the elevator hall, a black-and-white contrast and the use of colder materials emphasized the company’s technological and innovative character.
As one moves toward the social area of the office, colors and graphic elements introduce a younger, more dynamic and approachable atmosphere. The social zone, conceived as the focal point of the project, was organized around a centrally placed coffee bar. Without the need for solid partitions, differences in floor levels and material transitions defined distinct functional zones. In this way, the space could be experienced as a whole while still allowing for areas of specialization.
Meeting rooms were planned with a focus on comfort and ergonomics. Fixed furniture was custom-designed according to function, while continuity across ceilings, walls, and floors reinforced spatial coherence. The combination of natural textures with technological surfaces brought both warmth and durability to the environment.
The COLIN’S Jeans headquarters was designed as an interior project that foregrounds the lobby and social spaces, making the corporate identity visible, encouraging social interaction, and prioritizing user experience.
