The owners of this 120 m2 apartment, located in the Pechersky district of Kyiv, who are great travel lovers, wished to get a bright, cozy, fresh interior in their Kiev house, without fail adding notes of French aesthetics, multiplied by a common passion for Scandinavian design.
As is usually the case in modern Parisian interiors, the classic shell is combined with modern content. In addition, the architectural features of this apartment, located in an elite residential complex of the capital, reinforce the desire to give your premises a modern character. Therefore, the creation of the interior of this apartment was in itself an experiment in combining different styles and cultures, searching for original rhymes of French love for art (beautiful detail, complex coloring) and Scandinavian practicality, purity of forms and lines.
Based on the tasks set, natural materials were chosen for finishing: solid oak for the floor (we settled on the “French Christmas tree” - one of the most stylish, elegant and sophisticated options for piece parquet), natural granite and marble for the floor. floor. floor. kitchen worktop, all window sills and a fireplace portal, the forms of which, in our case, are strict and concise in a modern way. The interior uses a sensual palette of colors typical of French interiors: traditionally light walls have become a win-win backdrop for “tasty”, complex and spectacular shades of upholstered furniture and decor.
Signs of Scandinavian aesthetics are reflected in all cabinet furniture used: throughout the apartment, it is characterized by Swedish conciseness and functionality.
Interior doors also emphasize the French style and open the entrance to a private area consisting of a bedroom, a second room (which, if necessary, can easily become either an office or a nursery: the neutral finish of the apartment has also penetrated here, which will easily allow you to organize a room with one of the above appointments ) and the master bathroom.
The interior of the private area is made in a more relaxed and modern manner, which is due to both architectural features (large area of the bedroom, its panoramic windows), and the very purpose of the room, designed to promote relaxation and restoration. Neutral palette, natural shades, natural materials create a serene atmosphere throughout the private area.
The interior of the bathroom is just as calm and concise, it does not distract attention with additional details, allowing you to properly relax at the end of the working day and escape from the bustle of the city.
