The extended perspective to Port Phillip Bay is the obvious view for this raised parcel of land along Coburn Avenue, McCrae. The intrigue is where that same breathtaking view is offered again through reflections in solid and clear glazing. The spatial design affords the bay view to extend all the way to the street facing study space. Here a portrait window rises beyond the façade, a gesture that allows the trees atop Arthurs Seat to conclude. The private street façade offers a balance of forms inspired by modernist and mid-century architecture for its simplicity and calmness.
