Having recently designed a multispecialty Health & Wellness Center for Cleveland Clinic’s Indian River Hospital, Array was selected to plan and design a new center for oncological care to accommodate an expanded cancer program. Built as an addition to an existing radiation oncology pavilion at the center of campus, the Scully-Welsh Cancer Center brings state-of-the-art, compassionate care to the Indian River community.
The facility features multi-modality clinics, integrated treatment planning, infusion, radiation therapy, survivorship, e-source and education programs, and access to clinical trials and research. Array was tasked with aligning the patient experience and building’s design to the desired brand for the cancer services program.
Externally, a healing garden provides dedicated open space and serves as a link between the Cancer Center and the Array-designed Health & Wellness Center. Together, these buildings form a new outpatient nexus at Indian River Hospital, in sync with Cleveland Clinic’s renowned image and reputation for world-class, comprehensive cancer care.
