Classon Residence was a complete gut renovation of a duplex apartment in a historic Clinton Hill brownstone. There were not many original details left inside when the home was purchased, only the sage colored fireplace mantel, which is lovely and somewhat understated. The character of the rest of the apartment was designed to integrate well with the mantel, so it did not feel like an unrelated artifact once the renovation was complete.
The clients are a young family that loves to entertain. The open floor plan and warm minimalist materials help to create a welcoming atmosphere.
