The residents of the this project have sold their forrest villa with the aim to live closer to the city center, where they have their businesses. Their new home is located on the Burgemeester van den Elzenlaan, one of the most characteristic streets in Oss (a town in the south of the Netherlands). Closer to the city center, a smaller garden but no loss in living comfort where the demands for their new home. Studio Entr designs a spacious extension with a durable wooden façade cladding. The extensions connects all the different spaces in order to create one homogenous whole.

By the use of the maximum ceiling height (allowed by the manicipality) for the extension, the space gets an extra dimension: the lovely natural light that protrudes the floor to ceiling heigh windows is a feast for the eye.
WALK TROUGH
Upon entry the great hallway catches your eye. Connected to the toilet and the wardrobe which are foreseen of wooden vertical slats to emphasize the ceiling height. The first door on the right brings you to the office of our client, a spacious setup helps to create a sense of calmth. Directly connected to the office we’ll find the large living room. These spaces are separable through large steel framed glass doors. The living room has massive white washed oak flooring and two cabinets that house books, photos and souvenirs from countries all over the world. In between the cabinets another pair of steel framed glass doors separates the living room from the kitchen. Here the walnut kitchen is setup with a large island and a floor to ceiling cabinet wall which houses all the necessary equipment. The large window connects the kitchen with the garden and allows for a lot of natural light. The dining area has a comfy sofa next to the fireplace. This is a great place to have a drink and a chat before having diner at the large oak table with papermade pendant lights above.
The master bedroom is located on the second floor. There used to be two bedrooms which are now merged to one larger bedroom with a double height ceiling. The large lamp hanging above the bed fits perfectly and the extensive cabinet provides enough space for clothes and shoes. Behind the wooden slat paneling a wall-to-wall led light grazes over the wall onto the roof which creates a lovely ambiance. The ensuite bathroom is foreseen of all the luxury you need; a large shower, a bathtub and a double sink. This floor also includes a guesthouse which keeps another bath- and bedroom.
The garden has been designed with the eye on low maintenance. Beautiful trees, a large lawn and flowering hydrangea capture the imagination. In the near furture a swimming pool, sauna and a gym will arise.
