The main objective of the City Klinic project was to transform a restaurant located in a commercial zone into a multidisciplinary clinic, consisting of 8 medical offices and a rehabilitation room. As the building's surface area was limited to the property line, it was necessary to work within the existing envelope to fit the program.

To do this, a new entrance was created in the form of an independent airlock from the main volume, allowing for smoother access from the parking lot and more rational circulation within the building.

The second challenge of the project was to create a serene and intimate space in a commercial zone along a heavily traveled road. As some of the offices were directly located along the road, a new translucent polycarbonate skin was placed in front of the existing facade. This skin serves as an opal barrier between the road and the offices, allowing for a sense of privacy while maintaining an influx of light. It also gives the building a unique, abstract appearance. Only a large opening in one of the offices breaks up the repetition of vertical lines.

To accentuate the singular aspect of the space, the color palette was imagined in collaboration with the graphic designers responsible for the graphic identity.

Inside, the materials palette (anodized aluminum sheet metal, polycarbonate, corrugated sheet metal) borrows from industrial imagery and echoes its immediate environment.

Inside, the same subtle variations of shades and textures are found. All of the custom-made furniture was designed with a focus on harmony with the graphic identity and exterior envelope.

Wood was added to this palette to warm up the otherwise cold space. It can be found on the cross-shaped seating, inspired by the logo, or in the signage integrated into the door frames.
