L' ex-area industriale
Beton-Press, di circa 39000 mq, localizzata al casello autostradale di Napoli,
nel Comune di Marcianise, è il luogo di un progetto architettonico e
imprenditoriale ambizioso e dalle molteplici sfaccettature.
Il tentativo è quello
di configurare, per dimensione dell'insediamento, diversificazione e tipologia
delle attività e degli spazi architettonici, una vera e propria " Città del Cinema".
Nell' edificio
longitudinale che chiude la corte verso la strada urbana si localizzano, nella
parte centrale, sei sale cinematografiche mentre, alle due estremità, si
posizionano due punti di ristoro: uno dialoga con l'atrio del multisala
attraverso i suoi tre livelli ed un patio esterno localizzato sul fronte
strada, ribassato rispetto alla quota d'accesso e configurato spazialmente come
un hortus conclusus, l'altro si relaziona al corpo trasversale che definisce il
lato corto della corte interna ed insieme definiscono l'accesso pedonale
all'intero complesso. Tale punto di ristoro conferma il suo valore di posizione
nella mediazione fisica tra gli atri dei due edifici che definiscono il fronte
sulla strada urbana; anche questo luogo per la ristorazione ha un suo patio
esterno, incassato rispetto alla quota della corte, ma a differenza dell'altro
in diretta relazione con lo spazio della piazza interna.
Insieme
al sistema integrato tra sale cinematografiche e ristorazione, una galleria
vetrata a piano inclinato media la quota della corte aperta con lo spazio a
tripla altezza che caratterizza la sala espositiva, spazio dell'evento, nel
quale è prevista l'organizzazione di mostre tematiche sul cinema, la
costruzione di percorsi per la conoscenza e l'intrattenimento a carattere
multimediale ed interattivo, strumenti, questi, attraverso i quali evidenziare
non solo i caratteri specifici e disciplinari dell'arte-cinema ma anche le
relazioni con linguaggi espressivi diversi e con "luoghi" geografici
e culturali che il cinema sceglie ed interroga.
