This house started as a plastic exercise, beginning with a hermetic and closed volume towards the front that opens itself to the yard. A long series of windows in the upper section of the east facade seek to capture the view of the Andes Mountains, maintaining the privacy through a high ledge. This way it is possible to limit the views from the outside to the inside, and at the same time, the opening is able to selectively crop the mountains, filtering out the city.
The program layout responds to a customized arrangement of the lifestyle of its inhabitants. There are three volumes that represent the most important rooms in the first floor: the kitchen, the dining room and the living room. Each room dislocates from the main volume, taking different positions to visually dominate the yard.
